Hispanic Dayat º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½

Hispanic Day is an annual academic and cultural celebration organized by the Spanish and Latin American Program of the Romance Language Department at St. Thomas University. Founded by Professor Nela Rio, this event highlights student achievement, intercultural dialogue, and the richness of the Spanish-speaking world.

Each year, students present projects developed throughout their Spanish courses, demonstrating linguistic growth, cultural analysis, and critical engagement with Hispanic literature, history, and contemporary issues.

Hispanic Day brings together faculty, students, administrators, and community members to celebrate:

• Academic excellence

• Cultural diversity

• Artistic expression

• Community collaboration

The event includes student presentations, guest speakers, a delicious Hispanic lunch, and interdisciplinary cultural analysis.

Hispanic Day reflects the Spanish Department’s commitment to experiential learning and inclusion.
