Meet and Greet with Tﾄ［e Wairere Iti

Come meet Maori activist, artist, actor, and social worker Tﾄ［e Iti with Toi and Te Iti. He will be at the centre to chat about a new documentary he is filming about language preservation and revival. The documentary's director will also be in attendance.
ｺｬﾐﾟｲﾝｴｫﾃｽdents will also have the chance to do some beading with him.

Tﾄ［e Wairere Iti is a New Zealand Mﾄ｛ri activist, artist, actor and social worker. Of Ngﾄ（ Tﾅｫhoe descent, Iti rose to prominence as a member of the protest group Ngﾄ Tamatoa in 1970s Auckland, becoming a key figure of the Mﾄ｛ri protest movement and the Mﾄ｛ri renaissance. Since then, he has become a renowned activist for the rights of Mﾄ｛ri and the process of co-governance and decolonisation.
