Join º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½'s information session on the for community impact! Through the Rising Youth program, we provide small grants of up to $1500 to any Canadian youth (aged 15-30) who want to lead a volunteer-led initiative that meets an unmet need in their community - our fund is non-competitive, low-barrier-to-access, and with a rapid turnaround.
Grants can be awarded for ideas or projects that will support/benefit your community for the better. Some examples of ideas and projects include community events, virtual info sessions with speakers/educators for populations in need, online themed webinars to promote social activism, online gatherings to battle social isolation, book clubs with community groups, helping build a community garden, sending care packages to isolated populations, etc.
Although the main grant applicant must be a Canadian citizen/permanent resident, international students are encouraged to attend the info session and to be part of the organizing team/group involved in the grant and can be co-organizers of the project.
This information session will introduce you to the program, give examples of successful project ideas, and allow you have your questions answered so you can get a project started this semester or the next! The session will be approximately 30 minutes in length.
After this information session, another webinar will be hosted to help with a more hands-on online workshop on ideation & grant-writing.
