º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Cares - Day of Action is an event that embodies º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½’s spirit of service. Volunteer teams of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ students go out into the community to learn about the work of a local community organization and do hands-on work to support it. In the past, volunteers have worked on such issues as poverty, food security, environmental preservation, housing, violence prevention, youth health, and community building. The day concludes with a chance to reflect on the service we’ve done, social issues in the community, and connections to what we are learning in class. 

º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Cares is a great way to meet new friends, make a difference, see more of Fredericton, and explore career opportunities. 

Volunteering at this event counts as 6 hours of volunteer work towards the community engagement portion of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½’s Certificate in Experiential Learning & Community Engagement. Students will spend approximately two hours working with their assigned community organization, and then conclude with group reflection activities upon their return to campus. 

Food and snacks will be provided for the day for all º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½dents attending.
