º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ Employment Programs
In addition to the on-campus job board on Learning in Action, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ also offers employment programs for students looking to work on campus. Working on campus is a great opportunity for students to gain meaningful skills, make connections, and explore different kinds of jobs.
JOBS – Job Opportunities Benefiting Students
The JOBS Program is a university-funded program designed to facilitate paid learning and development experiences. Students hired through JOBS work in flexible, part-time placements with faculty and staff from all disciplines. This is a unique experience that enables students to apply and reinforce learning that has taken place in the classroom and aligns with the university’s core mission of encouraging learning that engages the whole person.
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½Works International
The mission of the º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½works International program is to allow first and second-year international students a place to identify, develop, and use their skills, strengths, and talents by working in meaningful on-campus jobs and through participation in professional development workshops. The program gives students a chance to learn about the Canadian work culture, gain real-world experiences and practice their skills in a safe space that is flexible with their class schedule. It is also an excellent way to make connections and explore possible career paths.
Canada Summer Jobs
Canada Summer Jobs is an initiative of the Government of Canada Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to support young Canadians in developing skills and gaining paid work experience that will support them in a successful transition into the labour market. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ often hires Canadian students in the summer through this program.
